The New Year is approaching which means New Year resolutions are at the forefront of many people’s minds.

Are you looking to make a change in 2018?

Do healthy lifestyle goals and resolutions seem a little daunting?

Consider this for 2018: SHRINK THE CHANGE!

In the world of wellness, people set their minds to losing so many pounds or starting a diet that cuts out an entire food group.

Others think it is necessary to train like an Olympic athlete or search for that miracle food, pill or potion.

The reality is none of that is necessary to start living a healthier lifestyle – instead think about ‘shrinking the change.’

If you want to lose weight by going to the gym, set your goal to get to the gym at least two to three days per week. Not what you are going to do or achieve once you are at the gym, just get to the gym!

If you want to drink more water, substitute at least one soda or sugary drink for water each day. Or drink a glass of water before or during each meal. This can help curb your appetite.

By taking smaller steps to achieve a goal, you will be more likely to build on your achievements and see the positive changes.

Positive change leads to positive outcomes. Sometimes we need to take a step back from the numbers on the scale and focus on positive changes.

Give it a try… Find a change you want to make and work towards that goal ONE SMALL CHANGE at a time!
