For the No Excuse Moms

What is the best excuse that you have ever come up with? Think about it. Was it for missing work, bailing on a fitness class, justifying your fast food habit, or getting out of that blind date your Aunt Betty set you up on? In my line of work (Wellness Nurse/Health Coach), I have heard them all. I would really like to put a sign on my door that says… No Excuse Zone!

This is one of the many reasons why I love the No Excuse Mom Group! These ladies make their health a priority. The program was started by Maria Kang and is led by a team of volunteers. You can check out the history and mission of the support group at their website.

We even have a local chapter right here in San Angelo! The local group is led by Mayra Vasquez. The ladies are working and stay-at-home moms who get together to work out and support each other in their journey to live a healthy lifestyle. They meet 3-4 times per week for a great workout, and it is a free club!

Where & When
Monday: Glenmore Park, 5 pm
Wednesday: Kids Kingdom Park, 11 am
Friday: Unidad Park, 5 pm
1st & 3rd Saturdays: Kids Kingdom Park, 10 am

What
One hour of working out and a play date for the kids at local parks. The work outs will be a combination of cardio, strength and flexibility training. Bring your own gear: water, towel, snacks, stroller & the kids!
