If the Shoe Fits

If the Shoe Fits

by Holly Foreman - October 15, 2014

Every fall I go through an extensive shoe search for closed toe shoes. I like to think I have special feet – let’s just say one of my nicknames has always been ‘toes’. I have a narrow foot but my toes add some length so shoes are very hard for me to find. Not only do I want a shoe that fits properly, but I do not buy shoes that do not have any support.

Last weekend I was sitting in a shoe store and trying on closed toe, black flats. Sounds easy enough, right?

Well this of course was not an easy task. I am talking with the lady about brands that are narrow that I usually buy and what I am looking for. She starts bringing out boxes of shoes, some that weren’t even out on the floor.

Different sizes, different brands, and different styles.

So, why am I talking about my shopping experience?

Everything we do is a reflection of a choice that we make.

Whether you are shoe shopping or trying to live healthy, you have to find what is best for YOU!

Just like shoes come in all shapes, sizes, colors and styles, the options for exercise are endless. Sometimes we just have to do a little fitness ‘shopping’ to find exercises that we enjoy and choose to do.

It might take a little searching and trying things out to determine physical activity to include in your daily routine, but the payoff of a healthy lifestyle is more than worth it.

There are so many resources available on the internet alone that can assist anyone with exercise. Some websites I like to use for workout routines are Fitness Blender, Pop Sugar and Greatist.com.

Not only does the Internet have so many options, but have you ever gone to the App store on your smartphone and searched Health & Fitness Apps? The list goes on and on with anything from nutrition, sleep, exercise and more.

So start your ‘healthy’ shopping today… find what works best for you and stick to it!
