It's Okay to be Childish

There are many things we learn as kids that help us remember certain concepts: ROYGBV, Never Eat Sour Watermelon, even the song “Fifty Nifty United States”… My sixth grade teacher would be so proud that I can still sing that song!

Are any of these childhood ‘memories’ coming to mind?

Well, as adults why don’t we simplify lifestyle concepts and habits to apply in our everyday lives?

Here is one to jump start living a healthier lifestyle that the whole family can live by, and it’s as easy as 5, 2, 1, 0.

Just four numbers sounds easy enough, so here is what it stands for:

5 – Eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day
2 – Limit screen time to 2 hours or less each day
1 – Get at least 1 hour of physical activity every day
0 – Drink 0 sugar-sweetened beverages

By applying these four healthy habits, you are one step closer to a healthier lifestyle.
